Why LILMATEEN

LILMATEEN started with a simple question:

When will I finally build something for myself?

For years, most of my time was spent working at the hospital. I was constantly busy, constantly moving, constantly working for someone else.

But somewhere in between all of that, I kept thinking about something I had always loved—design.

I’ve been designing for as long as I can remember. In primary school, secondary school, college, university, and even now at work, I somehow always ended up being the person asked to design something.

And eventually, I asked myself:

When will I create something that is truly mine?

That was when LILMATEEN became real.

I had no experience in clothing. No manufacturer contacts. No blueprint. No idea what I was doing.

I was simply someone with an idea and the belief that waiting for the “right time” would probably mean never starting at all.

So I started.

I watched countless videos. I asked countless questions. I contacted manufacturers, compared quotations, visited stores, studied fabrics, and tried to understand every small detail that goes into making a hoodie worth wearing.

There were moments when I felt completely lost.

But I kept going.

Because I would rather try and fail than look back years from now wondering what might have happened if I had simply started.

LILMATEEN’s first release is intentionally small.

Only 30 pieces.

Not because I want to manufacture scarcity for the sake of hype, but because I want to personally make sure that the first people who support LILMATEEN receive something I am genuinely proud to put my name on.

Quality matters to me.

If the hoodie does not meet the standard I have in mind, I would rather delay the launch than release something simply because a date was announced.

LILMATEEN is still at the beginning.

I don’t know exactly where this journey will lead.

But I know that I started.

And sometimes, starting is the hardest part.

That is what BE STRANGE. TRY ANYWAY. means to me.

Do something different.

Try the idea people might not understand.

Take the first step even when you are unsure where it will lead.

If it helps you become better, move closer to your goal, or become more like the person you want to be—

try anyway.

Thank you to everyone supporting LILMATEEN from the beginning.

This is only Project 001.

BE STRANGE. TRY ANYWAY.
